Football fans that are planning to travel to Moscow for the Champions League final have been warned to not forget about travel insurance.
Cover provider esure has stated the importance of taking out insurance and also urged people to make several checks before planning a trip to watch the game between Chelsea and Manchester United.
The firm said that people should ensure that a trip to attend a sporting activity is covered on their annual policies, while adding that consumers should also make sure their passport is valid.
Mike Pickard, head of travel insurance at esure, said that fans who are "caught up in the excitement" of the final may forget the basics.
He added: "It's vital to plan ahead and read the small print of travel insurance documents to make sure you're covered should anything unfortunate, such as a flight cancellation or baggage loss, occurs."
Chris Price, the head of Direct Line Travel Insurance, recently revealed that people who are heading on sporting holidays could benefit from discounts on travel insurance by going abroad in a group.
